ABOUT 

The idea for Brainforge Design came while designing and quoting jobs at a local fabrication and engineering firm. I found that there were a number of projects that were interesting or exciting from a design and engineering standpoint that we were unable to take on. Without the overhead of running a full fab shop, Brainforge Design is able to better compete in these spaces and help get these ideas out into the world.

My Name is Chris Van Steyn, and I am a mechanic turned mechanical engineer. I pride myself in my ability to fix things and get my hands dirty. I enjoy a chance to push my current skillset forward. I hate failing but I am not afraid to fail. Some of my most important lessons have come from these tough moments.  

My approach to both design and fabrication is heavily influenced by my hands on background in Automotive and Powersports. I can clearly remember the hours lost to overcomplicated engineering or unintended interferences. I have spent hours with my mentors talking about Batch and Queue, Waste, and project war stories. I bring this experience to every Brainforge Design, and look forward to hearing about your next project.
